2026 Preludium

I intended to start this quite differently, but we’ve barely made it into the new year and it already seems like the whole world is about to explode. As if I wasn’t already immensely grateful for having too much on my agenda to focus on anything outside of my little sartorial bubble, now I most definitely am.

Now, aside from that gloomy introduction, I am definitely attacking this year with the same excitement and positive spirit I lived with since at least the latter half of 2025.

Commissions have arrived, some are on their way and more are being planned.

The brand Sørvest is well on it's way to being established and the prospects I am looking at are looking really promising and exciting to say the least. Continuing from 2025, this is also where most of my focus will be for 2026 and as some already pointed out: although I am still very much active on IG and on this site, I have perhaps been neglecting especially the latter. My apologies for that.

As for the status of the brand.

Although we have not officially launched, our incredible lambswool polo knit alongside the sock collection made in collaboration with Il Regalo are being sold through direct contact on Instagram and the feedback this far has been great.

Regarding where I am at in this whole style journey sphere…admittedly I have grown somewhat tired of people framing everything as a “style journey” or “sartorial journey”. It just seems to make it out to be more than it really is and I’m at a point now where every social media trend, every repeated buzzword feels almost off-putting.

I’ve never really leaned into any of these fads anyway, and since the start I tried my best not to seem preachy:

show people what I wear and hope someone can draw inspiration from that.

As far as messaging goes, I definitely do believe in the same principles as I always did, but I lean more towards “dress in a way that makes you happy” these days.

I haven’t made any particular aims stylistically for this year, nor have historically done so. However, that might be a good approach to have for someone whom is interested in taking some steps into tailoring: having an idea of where you want to be by the end of the year and focus on what can help bring you there.

For me, I feel quite settled, so whatever changes might be usually comes with the expansion of the wardrobe and how I incorporate that into my style. But the stylistic frame has more or less been the same the past few years. If anything, what I have been and will be focusing on is rotation. Showing more love to items that I haven’t worn as much and being more vigilant with what I already have as opposed to always walk my own well-trodden path.
